Italian Challenge 2019…pronti…via!!

E’ emozionante pensare sin da ora quanto sarà pieno di sorprese e meraviglie il viaggio dell’Italian Challenge 2019. La sfida più grande sarà riuscire ad immagazzinare in oltre 1300 km di viaggio tanti scorci diversi, panorami e colpi d’occhio che cambieranno ripetutamente di chilometro in chilometro attraverso un itinerario molto appagante ma anche impegnativo in quanto le strade che percorrerete sono state selezionate tra le più “invisibili” d’Italia.

L’appuntamento più atteso è per lunedì 3 giugno a Misano Adriatico (RN), città che sprigiona tutta la propria passione per i motori a 360° dove verrà allestito il Village che farà da nido a tutti i partecipanti e dove l’organizzazione capitanata da Mirco Urbinati affronterà le operazioni preliminari con i partenti e farà il briefing per incontrare tutti e conoscere tutta la famiglia che vivrà l’impresa sulle quattro giornate di manifestazione.

Prima tappa Italian Challenge 2019 : Misano Adriatico – Roccaporena (PG) . Il percorso entrerà nel vivo sin da subito e la traccia GPS porterà i motociclisti tra le montagne di Urbino per scendere ed attraversare le gallerie di epoca romana alle pendici del monte Pietralata. Per oltre 350 km sarà un alternarsi di altissimi Appennini dove lo sguardo cadrà su antichissimi monasteri aggrappati a pendii rocciosi, dove la solitudine del viaggio incontrerà i piccoli borghi marchigiani ancora abitati entrando come in un tunnel di strade a volte sterrate nel cuore dell’Umbria tra perfette pietre abitate e i fiumi della Valnerina. Visiteremo quindi la antica città di Cascia per arrivarne nel cuore, a Roccaporena dove la caratteristica Chiesa dello scoglio della preghiera sembrerà un paesaggio della Sessaglia greca.

Seconda tappa Italian Challenge 2019 : Roccaporena (PG) – Campitello Matese (CB). La tappa più lunga di oltre 400 km entrerà in Lazio attraversando montagne in quota a quasi 2000 metri per inerpicarsi sulle più alte strade solitarie dell’Abruzzo in luoghi completamente inediti. La gola del Saggitario, leggendaria e misteriosa spingerà il percorso fino al Molise dove entreremo nel silenzio delle antiche montagne, dove le strade dimenticate saliranno in quota fino al grande picco Matese che sovrasta l’Italia centrale… e qui la sosta in altitudine dove si respira il soffiare del vento e il silenzio, dove il cielo stellato può regalare emozioni e colori che ripagano la fatica del lungo viaggio. Proprio qua, verranno comunicate le classifiche parziali della precisione di viaggio dei partecipanti, perchè l’Italian Challenge si conquista con attenzione metro dopo metro.

Terza tappa Italian Challenge 2019 : Campitello Matese (CB) – Contursi Terme (SA). La strada sarà sin da subito inedita ed andrà ad addentrasi nell’altipiano che non ti aspetti, quello nascosto tra le maestose foreste in altitudine nella parte più ad est della Campania. Di qui immancabile il lungo viaggio in Irpinia, terra di ospitalità e morbide colline, la terra dei giganti del vento che ruotano inesorabili senza tempo. L’ultimo settore della terza tappa sarà caratterizzato da stradine strettissime su aspre e alte montagne e dopo aver attraversato alcuni caratteristici paesi lucani che “sbattono” sorprendentemente alla vista come muri di pietra e case, rallenterà e fermerà il chilometro a Contursi Terme, caratteristica località termale altamente suggestiva dove è possibile ammirare a vista la nube sulfurea che la avvolge silenziosa. La giusta ricompensa, per chi vuole, sarà un bagno termale per riconciliare la fatica e le emozioni raccolte.

Quarta tappa Italian Challenge 2019 : Contursi Terme (SA) – Maratea (PZ). L’ultima tappa si affronterà venerdì 7 giugno così da poter affrontare il viaggio di rientro nel fine settimana. Metteremo a disposizione un percorso piacevole senza autostrade fino a Misano Adriatico.

La quarta tappa sarà particolarmente appagante perchè si sentirà l’odore del mare senza mai vederlo se non all’ultimo; per gli ultimi 200 km strettissime strade attraverseranno l’imponente Parco del Cilento conoscendone i profumi, i colori e la grande ospitalità dei borghi più nascosti fino ad arrivare a percorrere la salita del Redentore da cui ammirare il mare Tirreno dallo scorcio più caratteristico di tutta la costa ovest italiana. La superba struttura del Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea ospiterà il grande arrivo alla vista di un panorama mozzafiato. Sarà ancora una volta indimenticabile vivere assieme le emozioni di complicità che si racchiudono dopo le emozioni di un viaggio percorso assieme, un viaggio di oltre 1300 km che attraverserà l’Italia pagina per pagina proprio come dentro ad un libro.

It is exciting to think from now on how the journey of the Italian Challenge 2019 will be full of surprises. The biggest challenge will be to drive for over 1300 km in 4 days through many different views, landscapes and invisible roads across Italy.

The most awaited event is Monday, June 3 at Misano Adriatico (RN), where will set up the starting Village with the preliminary operations and the big briefing to meet everyone and get to know all people that will be one big family for four days of the event.

First stage Italian Challenge 2019: Misano Adriatico – Roccaporena (PG). Right from the start the GPS track will bring all bikers in the mountains of Urbino to go down and cross the galleries of Roman times on the slopes of Mount Pietralata. For over 350 km it will be an alternation of high Apennines where you will find an ancient monasteries clinging to rocky slopes, where the solitude of the journey will meet the small villages still inhabited of Marche and some dirty roads in the heart of Umbria. We will arrive in the ancient city of Cascia and on the top of the hill of Roccaporena, where the characteristic Church in the rock will seems a greek landscape.

Second stage Italian Challenge 2019: Roccaporena (PG) – Campitello Matese (CB). The longest stage of over 400 km will enter in Lazio through mountains at almost 2000 meters on the highest and solitary streets of Abruzzo. La Gola del Saggitario, legendary and mysterious, will bring our bikers in Molise where we will enter the silence of the ancient mountains, where the forgotten streets will rise up to the great peak Matese that dominates central Italy … and here the altitude stop where you breathe the blowing of the wind and the silence, where the starry sky can give emotions and colors that repay the fatigue of the long journey.

Third stage Italian Challenge 2019: Campitello Matese (CB) – Contursi Terme (SA). The road will be immediately unpublished and will enter in the hidden forests of Campania. The last sector of the third stage will be characterized by small roads on high mountains and after passing through some characteristic Lucan villages will slow down and stop in Contursi Terme, a suggestive spa where you can admire the sulphurous source all around you. The right reward, for those who want, will be a thermal bath to reconcile the fatigue and the emotions collected.

Fourth stage Italian Challenge 2019: Contursi Terme (SA) – Maratea (PZ). The last stage will be on Friday, June 7th so we can return to home on the weekend with no rush. We will give you a pleasant route without highways to Misano Adriatico (RN).

The fourth stage will be particularly rewarding because you will smell the sea without ever seeing it; For the last 200 km very narrow roads will cross the amazing Park of Cilento knowing the scents, the colors and the great hospitality of the most hidden villages until you get to climb the Redeemer from which to admire the Tyrrhenian sea from the most characteristic glimpse of the whole Italian west coast. The titanic Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea will host the great arrival of our family riders on the top of a breathtaking landscape. Once again, it will be unforgettable to live the emotions of this journey together, a journey of over 1300 km that will cross Italy page by page just like in a book.
